kids

On a merry-go-round?

Or listened to 
the 
rain

Slapping on the ground?

Ever followed a 

butterfly’s erratic flight?

Or gazed at the sun into the 
fading 
night?

You better slow down.

Don’t 
dance so 
fast.

Time is short.

The music 
won’t 
last.

On 
the 
fly?

 When you ask How are you?

Do you hear 
the 
reply?

When the day is done

Do you lie 
in your 
bed

With the next hundred chores 

Running through 
your head?

You’d better

 ……received this simple and warm poem from a close friend by email with a request to forward to as many as I can…Difficult to verify but it is said to have been penned by a young girl suffering from Cancer in a New York Hospital and has been forwarded by her Doctor who was overwhelmed on reading it

……so that many can absorb SLOW DANCE and enjoy the simple heartwarming rhymes,I thought it would be a better idea to simply put it on my Blog

 

….as if on cue,another close friend just called to say she had a sad weekend…she lost a close 47 year old friend who lived in the next lane….he had been ailing for some time…they had grown up together playing cards and even marbles…going cycling on holidays….but as they grew older,they never met as often as they would have liked too or should have

 

…..Enjoy the Moment…that’s Real….The Past is past…the Future is in the future….The Present is a Gift…Enjoy It….and make time to feel the Morning Dew and smell the Grass and catch up with near and Dear ones…Friends and Family…just pick up the phone now and call to say “Hi” to someone who you have wanted to call,but just kept putting it off to another day !
